Universe What is universe? The entirety of existence is actually the universe . It encompasses all matter, including galaxies and stars. All radiation and all other types of energy are also part of the universe. You and everything you encounter are a part of the universe, regardless of where or when you are. Since everything that exists is inherently included in the notion of the cosmos , there is nothing outside of it. Where is universe? There is no position in the cosmos as we often understand it. There is nothing "outside" of it that it can be found within because it contains all that exists, including time and space. Instead of being contained by space and time, it would be more appropriate to state that they are the universe. What does universe contain? No Centre or Edge: It is believed that the cosmos is expanding, but it is not doing so from a central location into already-existing space.
